Can't connect with Google Analytics (403)

Hi, I setup the Analytics API exactly like you’re tutorial mentions. Now when I try to connect I get this message:

Fout 403: access_denied
The developer hasn’t given you access to this app. It’s currently being tested and it hasn’t been verified by Google. If you think you should have access, contact the developer ([email protected]).

The things I am unsure of are these:

  1. what is an ‘account name’ exactly? I have no clue here. Just typed my e-mailadres which I use with Google.

  2. in the steps on making the Google API I needed to add a domain. I used my own domain because mainWP is on a subdomain from it. Is this the right thing?

Any help would be great!

Hi Martin,

  1. For the Account Name you can enter anything, it’s just your internal use.
  2. If you are referring to the Authorized Domains, yes, you can add your domain, not subdomain.

Please review your settings again and see how it goes.

I have this issue as well. I’ve redone the settings several times with no luck.

Can you please verify that you have published the app in Consent Screen settings?

I have tried it 3 times in a row. every step in your Create Google Analytics Client ID and Client Secret - MainWP Documentation still the same 403. Even did it all in firefox.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried to contact your host support and see if there is some security rule blocking this process?
